Oh, definitely not. But admittedly, being summoned and then dealing with all of this it once is...a lot.

How have you been? Enjoying yourself?

Oh, very much so. Of course, I've been trying to conserve my energy for the time being-- there's too much we don't know.

So it's been more like indulgence in moderation for me.

That's very smart of you. Yes, this place certainly has its secrets...one wonders if indulgences such as these do not come with a nice little string attached.

For example, our ties to these Avatars. That will probably be something worth exploring.

Yes, I'd have to agree. I do wonder if we'll be competing, in a sense.

We could be. But for what? Our desires? Who will have them achieved, and who will not?

I imagine it would be something along those lines, yes. "You will have your desire granted, but only if you win"... or something similar. They do say wishes are never granted freely.

I don't need to fight. In fact, I'm already achieving mine. But if something threatens that...then I have no choice.

In the nature of being considerate, I ought not to ask of it, so I will not.

[ A nod. ] But I do understand that resolve.

No, its quite alright. Its hardly a secret. Well, it is a bit complicated, but...I want to be the best Servant a Master could have.

Do you? Have you had to fight for your dreams, before?

[ ... Primrose looks more than a little bewildered by this. ]

You wish to serve someone? And-- ah, well, I wouldn't call them anything as lovely as dreams, but yes. I've had to fight and endure for years to continue on my path.

[That nets her an intrigued look.]

For years...what a long time. Do others know of your plight? What you had to go through? Did anyone support you?

Those I travel with know the bare minimum.

But no, I've never told anyone the extent of it. And I've never asked for support.

[ Primrose walks a lonely road, the only road that she has ever known-- ]

[They look a little surprised.]

Surely a tough journey like that would be better done in company.

[femmefinale]

It may be difficult, but it's a journey I accepted years ago. No one needs to trouble themselves with matters unrelated to them.

[ They don't need to be dragged into revenge. ]

...If you believe that is the case.

[And then a long, long pause.]

But just remember...if one happens to befall a terrible fate on such a journey...it isn't as if someone will be there to dig your grave.

Then so be it. I am no one who ought to be mourned.

You think of yourself that way? What crimes have you done? Goodness. One would think you were evil incarnate with the way you talk.

The path I walk is one of revenge, good sir. It is not one meant for compassionate or gentle people.

You know...you remind me of someone. That man also went down the path of vengeance. Every fiber of his being was devoted to it. In the end...he was practically like a ghost.

[ Though even if that awaits her, she doesn't intend to stop now. She's far too close to the end. ]

If you let your revenge consume you, I can't say it wouldn't. That's the poison that revenge is, after all.
