[Where are your manners, Douman :(
Childe doesn't flinch, but there's a soft, sharp hiss of surprise and the barest tensing of muscle, like his first instinct would be to retaliate with a blow. It's only a second, though, and he doesn't try to pull away, just putting his other hand on his hip and waiting with a raised eyebrow.]

[Well! First of all, this is a freshly laundered Childe. His hair is mostly dry, but it's still slightly damp at the ends.
Second of all, he's standing in the hall in front of the kitchen doorway, frowning at it with a hand to his mouth. At the sound of Douman's approach, he glances up, then gestures towards it.]
This is open to you, right?

[He shakes his head.]
I was in the medical bay with a group of others. [There were so many fucking people in the med bay. Childe was so fucking out of place it was hilarious.] But no. It seems as though the door is stuck.
[A sigh.]
It's likely because of the deaths... how inconvenient. [Childe please.]

[Fair enough; he shrugs.]
I don't know, I don't think it's unlikely that Grell's death was a more personal matter. [Given how many people she alarmed and offended on Sunday. He's not explicitly saying "she had it coming" but tbh that's the vibe he's giving off. As for Kaz, he has no real guesses there. Maybe Grell killed him! They will perhaps find out tomorrow.]
I'll be curious to see if we have greater luck this time.

[In Douman's defense, chocolate is tasty, even if it was potentially a person.]
Tea would be great, actually, thank you. [He was LOCKED OUT OF HERE yesterday so he is also wandering over to the vending machine for food.] How are you feeling, after all of that chocolate?

[Thanks Douman!! Out of the vending machine will come this monstrosity, just for fun.]
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, at any rate. It made things more entertaining.
[Childe continues to not bother pretending he cares about dead people]

[(Childe's sister voice) HE'S A GREAT COOK
But he just fucking. Laughs. Because he's a bad person.]
Not that I don't believe you, but are you sure you would have?
[But he's grinning because he's joking... it was a stupid theory.]
What do you make of our culprit?
